Admissions to St John’s

 

St John’s is a highly regarded school, rated as Outstanding by Ofsted. We are regularly oversubscribed, but the vast majority of students who apply to us will secure a place at St John’s.

Our catchment area is large, but despite this many of our students come from outside our catchment area.

The map below shows our catchment overlaid with the home locations of our current Year 7 students, and shows the wide geographic area we cover- from Swindon to Tidworth, and from Calne & Devizes to Newbury.

Our Marlborough hub area includes 14 primary schools, but we are also pleased to welcome students from a far wider range of other local schools. In the last two years our Year 7 intake has included students from 37 local primary schools:

All Cannings, Baydon, Bishop’s Cannings, Bishopstone, Broad Hinton, Burbage, Cherhill, Chilton Foliat, Collingbourne, East Wichel, Easton Royal, Grately, Great Bedwyn, Hungerford, Hurstbourne Tarrant, Inkpen, Kennet Valley, Lawn, Liden, Lydiard Millicent, Marlborough St Mary’s, Nursteed, Oare, Ogbourne, Pewsey, Preshute, Ramsbury, Rushall, Shalbourne, St Francis, St Gabriel’s, St Katharine’s, St Margaret’s, St Michael’s, Wanborough, Westlea, Zouch  as well as home educated students.
