Community Governor Vacancy

St John’s Marlborough is looking for Community Governors to support them.

As a Governor, what will I do?

Governors, as part of the Academy Committee, support and advise the Principal and the Excalibur Academy Trust.

As a Governor, you will help shape a vision for the school.  You will ensure that welfare, behaviour, extra-curricular provision and academic excellence are scrutinised through the lens of the child.

Community Governors are very important as you will observe the school with an objective and detached viewpoint which is why we are specifically looking for people who don’t have children currently at the school.

What is my commitment?

There are four formal meetings per academic year (held at school in the evenings) plus two “School Days” when Governors will visit the school to speak to students and staff alike and gather feedback.
