Excalibur Teaching School Alliance

Excalibur Teaching School Alliance was awarded National Teaching School status in April 2016 and is based at and led by St John’s Marlborough. The Teaching School shares expertise from across a partnership of primary and secondary schools in Bristol, Berkshire, Swindon and Wiltshire and provides school to school support, professional development, R&D opportunities and works with Bath Spa University to develop and deliver primary and secondary School Direct ITT programmes.

Challenge Partners

St John’s was designated a Challenge Partners Leading School in February 2020. The hard work of St John’s students and staff was recognised by awarding us their top estimate in all categories, following a three-day Quality Assurance Review.  In addition, Continuing Professional Development for staff was acknowledged as an Area of Excellence.
