Sixth Form Team Win Young Enterprise Award!

A group of ten Year 12 students recently travelled to Cirencester to take part in the prestigious Young Enterprise competition, hosted at the Royal Agricultural University (RAU). The event brought together talented young entrepreneurs from across Wiltshire and Gloucestershire , all eager to showcase their innovative business ideas.  The students have been working on their enterprise project since term 1,  all with allocated business roles and learning about the employability skills needed to develop, market and sell a product as well as managing their organisation and working as a team.  They were also supported by a business volunteer, Siobhan Macdonald, a business consultant having worked within a range of STEM industries and with fond memories of her own sixth form experience on the Young Enterprise Scheme.

Our students proudly presented their company, “Why Knot”, demonstrating not only creativity but also a strong business plan. Their hard work and dedication paid off, as they were awarded Best Financial Management, a testament to their planning, budgeting, and overall financial management.

The team represented the school with professionalism and enthusiasm throughout the event, impressing judges and fellow competitors alike.  Congratulations!

The students would like to extend their sincere thanks to Mr Lacey, Mr Rivers-Davis and Mrs Havill for their continued support, guidance, and encouragement throughout their Young Enterprise journey.
