Years 7 and 8 Impress at Swimming Gala

A massive congratulations to our Year 7 and 8 swimmers who proudly represented St John’s at the Stephanie Millward School Games Swimming Gala in Trowbridge!

The team displayed fantastic swimming, teamwork, and enthusiasm throughout the entire event. It was inspiring to see so many of our students excel in a sport we don’t offer in school – a true testament to their talent and dedication.

St John’s finished an impressive 4th out of 11 schools, missing out on a podium finish by just one point!

A phenomenal achievement, and we couldn’t be prouder of this group.

Standout performances from the heats included:

• Paige – 1st in 50m Freestyle
• Feargus – 1st in 50m Breaststroke
• Girls’ 4×1 Medley & 4×1 Freestyle Relays – 1st place for both
• Boys’ 4×1 Medley & 4×1 Freestyle Relays – 2nd place for both
• Archie – 1st in 25m Butterfly
• Eliza – 1st in 25m Butterfly
• Harry – 1st in 50m Backstroke
• Mixed 8×1 Cannon Relay – 1st place
