Train to Teach

Train to Teach with St John’s

We are proud to offer a PGCE programme in collaboration with accredited providers including Bath Spa University and OTT SCITT. This is a one-year non-salaried graduate training programme. Students are welcomed as part of our school family and get the chance to learn on the job in two different schools in our cluster, working with experienced colleagues and putting new skills into practice from day one.

Our Secondary PGCE programme is available in the following academic subjects: Art & Design | Biology | Chemistry | Computing | Design & Technology | Drama | English | Geography | History | Mathematics | Modern Languages | Music | Physical Education | Physics | Religious Education

We also offer DfE-funded Summer Teaching Internships for undergraduates who are interested in finding out more about a teaching career.

If you’d like to know more about the PGCE programme, find out if you are eligible, or how to apply for a place, select from the options below.
