Art & Photography Sixth Form Curriculum

Welcome

Aims: The Art and Design curriculum at St Johns gives all students the opportunity to realise their potential in creating, presenting and appreciating art. All students have access to a wide range of experiences and will be encouraged to become independent, confident learners with a sound knowledge of how materials can be used, how artists can inspire us and how art can lead to a variety of careers.

Aims: The Photography curriculum enables students to understand the world around them through observation, questioning and by responding to their environment. We want students to be exposed to, and learn to appreciate and understand, photography. Students will be equipped to be strong visual communicators, prepared for the workplace with a skill set based on time management, problem solving and lateral thinking skills.
