Welcome
Aims: The History curriculum at St John’s ensures that students are prepared for the complex world of information today, and understand how to evaluate it effectively. Students are encouraged to synthesise this knowledge and to construct and present effective arguments. We examine a variety of cultures, societies and times in order to develop students’ sense of empathy and prepare them for a multicultural world. We enrich students’ learning through immersion in the historical environment, through analysis of evidence, a range of trips and visits, and we aim to foster a love for the subject.
