Art Gallery Term 6 2026-2027

Year 7

Year 7 have been creating some wonderful imaginary school building drawings inspired by Hundertwasser. Students have explored a wide range of lines, shapes, and patterns to create imaginative and unique designs. We have been particularly impressed by the vibrant colours they have used, bringing their artwork to life with creativity and confidence. Well done, Year 7!

Year 8

Year 8 have ended the year with a piece they have developed from their own research into how animals and patterns are used in (and to inspire) artwork in Non-Western Cultures. They researched either South African Ndebele Artwork, Australian Aboriginal Artwork or Native American Artwork. They have mostly painted and created a tonal drawing but also incorporated oil pastels into some of the patterns too.

Year 9

Year 9 have used Term 6 to make sculptures of food packets! They have constructed and used paper mache and then carefully observed the fonts, occasionally changing the text on their piece to something more meaningful to them too!
